Liverpool End Man City’s Unbeaten Run With 4-3 Thriller

Liverpool End Man City’s Unbeaten Run With 4-3 Thriller

Manchester City’s unbeaten start to the 2017/2018 season ended on Sunday, after Liverpool defeated them 4-3 at Anfield.

Pep Guardiola’s men came into the game 15 points clear at the top, having not lost in their previous 22 fixtures.

However, it was the Reds who took the lead, after Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain drove forward and arrowed his shot past Ederson. Leroy Sane levelled up for the visitors just before the break.

Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah all netted as City raced into a three-goal lead in the second half.

Although City gave Liverpool a late scare with goals from Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan, Jurgen Klopp’s men held on to record a memorable victory in front of their fans.
